Holidays and events

The festival takes place on the west shore of the Baikal .

Only once in two years there is a big international ethno-cultural festival in the Baikal area that is called "Erdyn Games".
The festival program includes Buryat national struggle, shaman ritual, throwing 10-pound stone at a distance, shooting from the traditional national archery, shearing sheep, stick pulling, playing Buryat chess “Shatar” and this list isn’t going to end.

A traditional contest “Beauty of Erdynsky games” takes place as a part of the festival. Unmarried girls from 15 to 26 years have to complete four competitive tasks.
