Youth Day in Russia is celebrated on June 27. This holiday was established by President Boris Yeltsin in 1993. Despite its official status, Youth Day is not recognized as a public holiday.

Youth Day is a celebration of young people. On this day, activists throughout the cities hold fairs, lectures, humor competitions, quests, yoga classes, a multi-discipline competition, dance master classes, bicycle excursions, and much more. The large celebration ends with a rock concert from talented young groups and in some cities by the launch of a mass of illuminated balloons.
