The annual Galaxy Vladivostok Marathon is one of the major running events of Vladivostok and the Far Eastern Federal District, with a unique route. The marathon for professionals and amateurs passes across the scenic road across the Russky Island, the "Russian" and "Golden" bridges, with the finishing on the Central square of the city, certified by the international association AIMS. There are distances of 5,10, 21 and 42 km available for participants, and there is also a distance of 1 km for children and Paralympians. The prize fund of the marathon is 1 million rubles in total, and it is divided between winners in various distances. Each participant is granted a commemorative medal and a gift from event partners.
