One of the most interesting landmarks of the Primorsky Territory, the Safari Park, was opened in Shkotov district in February 2007.
The park is divided into sections: one is occupied by ungulates, the other by predators, and the third one by birds. You can see all of it with a guide or just one.
Visitors observe animals from a safe place – a viewing platform, several meters above the area which goes around almost the entire perimeter of the tigers' zone.
It is home to wolves (including the rarest red wolves), raccoon dogs, bears, a Far Eastern forest cat, deer – both small spotted and huge red deer, roe deer, musk deer, and wild boars. Many of the animals can be stroked and even fed.
